Wow! I loved the history lesson, the analysis and perspective. That was great. Thank you.
The U.S. Chess League players seem to be playing more interesting games than the games at the Grand Prix tourament. These players are going right for the throat although I was shocked at how bad these players played.
Very interesting and erudite discussion by GM Yermolinsky of the h3 King's Indian. As for the "Game of the Week" itself, I'm underwhelmed. Both sides played pretty badly.
Excellent work GM Yermo! Говорите, пожалуйста, медленнее ?
These videos are excellent. This author is a great new addition to the chess.com panel.
GM Yermolinski is first chess.com video author that gives me incentive to become diamond member
I so enjoyed the show .what a Privlige to hear and see your broad base of knowledge.thank you master alex
I enjoyed your analysis of this game and will give h3 a try in my next King's Indian. Many Thanks looking forward to your next game of the week
di GM Alex Yermolinsky
GM Yermo gives a clinic on the h3 variation of the King's Indian Defense, taking us from a half-century ago into modern developments. In week 4 of the USCL, FM Tom Bartell faced the line, but new enough theory to get a promising position that any KID player would relish. He didn't play perfectly, but he used his active pieces to form a mating net in the endgame, beating a GM and winning top honors for the week.

GM Alex Yermolinsky
Since his arrival in the United States in 1989, Alex Yermolinsky has won numerous major swiss events including the World Open and U.S. Open multiple times. He was the U.S. Champion in 1993 and 1996. Alex cherishes his recollections of the glory days of the now aging, but underrated U.S. Olympic Team of the 1990's. Alex is the author of "The Road to Chess Improvement", his magnum opus that threatens to become the most sought after out of print chess book on EBay.
Other authors need not worry, Alex has left chess writing behind him. These days he's more interested in online chess media. His "What Every Russian Schoolboy Knows" instructional weekly show on the Internet Chess Club has a large following. Alex is hoping to further his online presence here on Chess.com.
