the ending pawn promotion blew my mind, It was so cool!
I don't play 1.e4 so never face the Caro-Kann but this was a really interesting video anyway! When you start getting onto the 1.d4 stuff then I will be very happy lol
Great video! Very instructive maneuver to get the queenside space initiative.
I play alot of 'finger fellers'

fingerfehler -- german for "fingerslip" -- happens to the best of us
Thanks for the instruction. I enjoyed this one.
Nice instructive video, actually thats my main line against caro-kann, nice to see its solid one.
The lines covered were done very well, but I'm a bit confused as to why those lines were chosen. After 6. e5, by far the most common reply (and best scoring) is 6...Be7, which wasn't touched.
I don't see how Kaidanov can say he's "pretty much covered e6 lines" when he didn't touch the main line response.
This was really great: an offbeat, solid, playable approach to the Caro Kann, where the ideas and not merely the moves were clearly explained. When I check this against the chess.com databasse, 13. c6 seems to be the novelty. Please, keep this series up.
Excellent video, thank you. Will you also be looking at the Accelerated Panov? Your videos are always very instructive.
thank you Gm kaidonov very intersting
I watched the game on You Tube. It was a great win. The description said that it was in 1987 and if he didn't resign you had him mated in two moves after he takes the queen. =)
I want to see the game that you won against Viswanathan when he was a teenager. That sounded like an awesome game man. Congrats on a really cool win. I was on the Chess.com World Team when we played for a draw against him. =) Can you send me the PGN of the game that you mentioned on this video? I really would love to see it. I like to learn from old games. =) Thanks GM Kaidanov --your new fan - Keoni
"Finger Feller" is now a cool new word added to my vocabulary. Thank you.
di GM Gregory Kaidanov
Is it really that easy? GM Kaidanov brings us another great video in his now long running series designed to help you build a comprehensive, yet "manageable" opening repertoire! He recommends slightly rare lines in order to lessen your work load, but all of them are strategically and tactically sound. Against the Caro he recommends the Panov - early 6.c5 Variation for white.
