SportAccord Mind Games 2012

The SportAccord Mind Games will take place from 12-20 December in Beijing, China.

SportAccord is an international association of sports federations whose stated mission is to unite, support and promote its members common aims and interests, while conserving and respecting their autonomy.

The event will include 8 days of competitions in 5 mind sports: Bridge, Chess, Draughts, Go, and Xiangqi.

    with the blitz&rapid ratings being implemented, there is probably some elo to gain

    Maleo:  This is not a rated tournament as far as classical ELO ratings, because the games are rapid, blitz, and blind -- not classical time controls. So while Nakamura is gaining experience with each tournament, this one won't alter his present rating.
